So yeh, over here in Canada, they don't include tax in any of the prices on the shelves, so if you just go by the labels, you won't actually know how much you're spending. I guess the theories are that consumers get to see exactly how much they're paying in tax (which could easily just be totalled up on the receipt rather than fucking over your mental arithmetic), and that there's different taxes in each province (which you'd have thought they'd just have different labels for different provinces rather than saving it for working out at the till).
The worst part is that it still applies even online, so even on websites you don't know how much you're spending until you get to the checkout page.

If only they told us how much the tax price is. That's the biggest pet peeve I have with these kinds of encounters, they don't tell you how much the tax is.
