UPDATE TIME!
Ok, so my big hand-in is done, my only remaining hand-in is pretty dang small, so I'm not worried about it at all. Which basically means that as of this Thursday, uni will be fully out of the way, with the exception of the end of year show, and the show we're hoping to hold outside of uni. Which by the way, still fundraising for, if anyone wants to help out. So yeh, that load is basically off my mind at this point, which is quite a relief.
This also takes away all the anxiety I was having about my first week at my new job, which I'm really starting to like. It's cool seeing all these different areas that I've never been to before, getting to know more of Bristol, and more of areas around Bristol. Both of my shifts last week were out in a place called Devizes, which is closer to Swindon than Bristol, so that was interesting.
And the housing situation is sorted too - I was lucky enough that the place I looked at on Thursday is absolutely perfect for my needs. It's a short bus ride from the centre, a 5 minute walk to the supermarket, a minute away from a street with lots of independent shops to check out, and because it's a lodging agreement rather than a more formal tenancy agreement, I can basically just give them 28 days notice and be on my way. But there's another room in the house that's currently being let out to someone who might be moving out right around the same time that Alexx'll be needing to move, so if that works out, then Alexx'll move in, and boom, pretty much a permanent home here in Bristol.
So yay, that's all coming together!
And then the election happened. God fucking dammit, five more years of the fucking Tories, for fuck's sake. And before anyone says "this is why you should have voted Labour, not Green", I live in Bristol West. It was between Labour and the Greens here, with the Tories having no chance. So my vote for the Greens did nothing to allow the Tories an extra MP - and honestly, given what the end result turned out to be, I wish more people had voted Green here to get a second MP in there who would really put up a fight to the government's plans alongside the solid block of SNP MPs. Fingers crossed a bunch of the Tory back-benchers repeatedly rebel, cos that'd make life hell for David Cameron and his cronies.
Also, seriously considering joining campaigns to change the voting system to a proportional one. 37% of the vote shouldn't give you 51% of Parliament. I think it'd really be worth pushing for Single Transferable Vote. If the Tories are thrown in enough chaos, it might just get through by the skin of its teeth...
TL;DR - Personal life: great. Country: fucked.

I made a fan episode of Drawfee!
I drew some Drawfee fan art, and recorded the process. Now I have this big long video aping the Drawfee style (with no co-hosts - it's really hard to be funny on your own while also talking about drawing art)! If y'all have any interest in Speeddraws, Drawfee, or for some godforsaken reason the sound of my voice, feel free to check out the video! I'll be posting the art from this here shortly, so keep an eye out for that too!
SHORT ATTENTION SPAM 2 - NOW ON YOUTUBE
Been working on this for the last couple weeks during a gap between contracts at my current studio, and it's finally completed enough to show off! Featuring a freaky unicorn, shoe language, plane crashes, and economics lessons, I think this is definitely an improvement on the first one, both in terms of the jokes and the quality of the animation! I really hope you all enjoy it, and if you like it, please share it with folks you know who'd probably also like it! :D
NEW ANIMATED SHORT!
Hope you guys like it, and remember to share the link in your favourite group chat if you happen to like it! :D
2010's Look Back
2010
"This is Normal" was brand new, having had it's own website launched in the last days of 2009. It managed to keep to a one-a-day schedule for the entire year somehow (being a little bit shit probably helped :XD:). I finished my GCSEs and started my A Levels, doing animation as part of both of the Media Studies courses to get practising and as an excuse to make stuff. This was when DA was most like a community to me, though I was still fairly active on Newgrounds at the time as well. Also, the Tories won the UK general election and went into coalition with the Liberal Democrats. The Lib Dems betrayed the trust of young people by not only

its scary how quickly things seem to be turning to shit, theyre planning to replace the human rights act as a step to attempt to seperate us from the europe, even if what they replace it with is better or near identical, the idea of replacing something like that so early into their run is kind of scary as to what they could be planning in the long run
